Enrolment

Puppy classes are currently not running due to time constraints. There is only one of me! If you are having challenges with your puppy, please reach out by completing the below form.

I am a positive reinforcement trainer. This means I take responsibility for setting the dog's up for success (so it can earn rewards and learn). In doing so I proactively manage their emotional wellbeing.

Puppy classes are for puppies up to 4 months at the start of term. Puppy classes have a limited number of places available so that introductions can be carefully managed to build confidence. Classes aim to provide new guardians with the basic information needed for constructive and appropriate socialisation. Your puppy will learn to settle in the presence of other dogs, be gently exposed to different noises and have supervised play time. The aim is socialisation (think mental health) as opposed to training.

Puppy classes are held at the Kaleen Scout Hall. To minimise the risk of unvaccinated dogs catching nasties, all floor surfaces will be disinfected prior to your arrival each week. Please bring your own watering bowl, mat for the dog to relax on, toys and food treats. These details will also be emailed to you before classes start.

This advanced class is for dogs and their humans who have already completed foundations or other comparable positive reinforcement training.

Once enrolments are received, I may contact you to shuffle dogs into more suitable groupings. Further details on what to bring will be emailed to you at least a week before classes start.

Advanced classes are held outside the Weston Woden Animal Hospital. This is for dogs that have already completed puppy to adolescent classes. I am currently reviewing my upcoming workload and resulting capacity to deliver a quality class. Please complete the following details as an expression of interest.

Preferred start time is not guaranteed. I'll contact you if it needs to change.

At this time, one on one training is only available for dogs and their guardians that are already enrolled in group classes. You're welcome to fill in the below behaviour and personality survey and I'll give you call to discuss options.

Dog behaviour and personality survey

The following questions will help me get an understanding of your dog’s past behaviours and personality, and gauge if your dog will settle into the group class environment. If there are any details that suggest this training may not be the best option for your dog, I will call you to gain more information and understanding. If necessary, I’ll discuss alternate options for best supporting and developing your dog in a positive and constructive way.

If your puppy is less than 3 months old, it might be hard to answer some of these questions. Just do your best.
